The arid coastal mountains of Nazca are famous for the Nazca Lines. They are huge geometric designs drawn in the desert and visible only from the air.
They were made by removing the darker sun-baked stones from the surface of the desert and piling them up on either side of the Lines, exposing the
lighter-colored soil below. Some designs represent giant animals, like this DOG; others are simple but perfect triangles, rectangles or straight lines running for
several kilometers across the desert. The mistery remains about who constructed the Lines and why...
