Arequipa is a beautiful city, surrounded by spectacular mountains. The most famous is the volcano EL MISTI (5822 m) with a nice conical peak topped by snow in the winter. Here it rises majestically behind Arequipa’s cathedral, located in the Plaza de Armas.
