Close to the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa we visited the Mercado de San Camilo. This is a local market where you can find the best local products at cheap prices. We bought a hat for Marc, some delicious nuts and coca leaves to make the famous mate de coca. Drinking this type of tea helped to prepare our bodies for the high altitude we would reach on the coming days.
